Join us at the Clay Studio on Thursday evenings each month in a group setting for children to be able to work on themed projects using handbuilding techniques. These projects will be teacher lead with instruction and encouragement to be creative! 

Projects will go through many phases of drying and firing. Pick up of final project/s will be  communicated and scheduled for the next month during regular studio hours. 

Disclaimer: Ceramics is a fragile art. There is always a possibility that projects can crack, break or be damaged in the kiln firing process even with the most care provided. Unfortunately, this will not be a reason for refund. We will always do our very best to prevent this.

Please park in the front parking lot and walk over to the clay studio next to the main house.

Bring the family and make something special in the clay studio! This class is dedicated time for families who want to spend quality time together, while learning how to hand build with clay. Bring your own project ideas or choose from one of ours! An instructor will be there to help guide you every step of the way. 

Parents or adult family members may attend and join to assist younger students with their creation without paying a fee, however only registered students will have their final project fired.

Projects will be fired in a kiln to completion. Your instructor will give you a slip at the end of class with a pick-up date.

Wheel thrown pieces will need to be dried some, then trimmed on the wheel to remove excess clay and create a foot ring. You may purchase another creative clay time class if you would like to learn/practice trimming your pieces with instructor guidance.

Saturday 2/28

10:30am-12:30pm

Ages: All Ages- 7y/o to Adults

Shake things up in the clay studio and make a mushroom shaped maraca! You’ll learn various hand building techniques to craft your maraca. Then you’ll glaze it with a color of your choice.

Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

Dressing for a messy class is recommended.

Please park in front of the main building and walk over to the clay studio.

Students will receive a slip with a date for when their project(s) will be ready for pick up.
