Be part of our Clay ARTmosphere Community Arts Center Family! We have open studio for your use on 4 Days including wheels and handbuilding! This includes 1 bag of clay, shelf space, kiln firings and use of our speciality tools. You will also have access to 10% discounts on our studio clay classes and private parties (some exclusions apply.)

Open Studio Days are:

Sundays 12pm-3pm

Tuesdays 1pm-7pm

Wednesdays 1pm-6pm

Fridays 1pm-6pm

You will need to complete an orientation class, have taken at least one clay class in your field at our studio prior to the membership start day and reviewed and signed membership agreement. You will need your own basic clay tools and set up.

All memberships start on the 1st of each month. 

Please register for an orientation class ($15) on the website or contact us for an alternate day if needed.

Monthly every 2nd and 4th Friday night!

Enjoy your favorite adult beverage while you (wheel)throw down! Get to know the pottery wheel in this fun, adult only class. You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free with multiple balls of clay to practice until their heart’s content (and 8:30pm:). Event is BYOB and Snacks! Feel free to bring a small cooler to keep beverages cool.

Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. You may choose a 2nd piece to be finished for $15 fee. Staff will glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.

Please arrive on time. Class starts promptly.

Let your artistic spirit soar in this clay class! You’ll learn how to create a beautiful bird shaped vase that expresses your unique style. Your instructor will show you slab building techniques to help you form your bird vase. Once it is formed, you’ll use extra clay and various tools to add desired features and decorative elements. Finally, you’ll use underglazes to give your bird vase some color.

Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class.

All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.

Dressing for a messy class is recommended.

Creativity is blooming in the clay studio! We’re making slab built trays, adorned with a lovely poppy flower. You’ll learn slab building techniques to make the structure for your tray. Then, you’ll learn how to sculpt a poppy flower and properly attach it. Once your tray is formed you’ll paint your poppy flower with an underglaze color of your choice.

Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

It is a family affair!! 

Ages 8y through Adult

Join in our Family Throw Down! This is a great way to spend some art time with family of all ages!Get to know the pottery wheel in this two hour long class.You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. 4 Thursdays

5:30pm-6:30pm

Join us at the Clay Studio on Thursday evenings each month in a group setting for children to be able to work on themed projects using handbuilding techniques. These projects will be teacher lead with instruction and encouragement to be creative! 

Projects will go through many phases of drying and firing. Pick up of final project/s will be  communicated and scheduled for the next month during regular studio hours.

All Ages 5y- Adult (Children 7y and under must have an adult accompany them)

This class will be out of this world! We’re making custom trays with an astrological sign of your choice. These trays can be used in various ways such as a jewelry dish, spoon rest, soap tray, etc. You’ll learn how to hand build the tray with a simple slab building technique. Once your tray is formed, you’ll paint it with underglaze(s) of your liking. Using a stencil as a guide, you’ll learn the famous Sgraffito technique and scratch away your zodiac symbol to reveal the clay underneath.

Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed! Dressing for a messy class is recommended.

Celebrate the Valentine's Day Holiday with your favorite someone whether that be your partner or bestie:) and create a heart shaped bowl/vessel.

The fun class will let you spend time together experiencing how to manipulate clay on a wheel. An experienced instructor will do a demo on how to center, pull sides and shape the clay. Then you get to give it a whirl!! The instructor will be available to give tips, guidance and answer questions. 

Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. They will hand trim and glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. If you have a 2nd piece that you would like finished there is a $15 extra fee due in class. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.
