En Plein Air Painting

Would you enjoy painting outside on the beautiful grounds at Artmosphere CAC and being guided by an experienced En Plein Air Art Instructor? Then this class is for you! Instructor, Dave Lennon will have a beautiful plesant outdoor area selected to set up at and focus on while providing guidance on how to create your lovely outdoor rendering. You can use whatever painting medium you are most comfortable in.

We will have 11x14" canvas board, tables, table top easels and chairs available to use. You welcome to bring a plein air stand up easel if you have one. Students will provide all other materials.

Sip & Spin- Wheel Throwing Fun Clay Class- May

Monthly every 2nd and 4th Friday night!
Enjoy your favorite adult beverage while you (wheel)throw down! Get to know the pottery wheel in this fun, adult only class. You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free with multiple balls of clay to practice until their heart’s content (and 8:30pm:). Event is BYOB and Snacks! Feel free to bring a small cooler to keep beverages cool.
Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. You may choose a 2nd piece to be finished for $10 fee. Staff will hand trim and glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.
Dressing for a messy class is recommended. Join us in Artmosphere’s new clay studio space! Located next to the main building. Please park in front parking lot and walk over.

Monthly Drawing - All Ages 12y to Adult- May

Always wanted to learn to draw? Interested in tips on improving your drawing skills or to learn new techniques? This is a no pressure skill building drawing class.
Students will be taught basic and interesting drawing techinques to bring your drawings to life! Students will learn a different techinque each class then have the opportunity to practice it in a small attainable drawing project during class. Topics such as shading, highlighting, value, texture, colored pencil blending, charcoal and more will be offered throughout the months.
Each Month will be a different technique and project! Sign up for all months or whenever your schedule permits.
This is an All Ages type class. So don't be intimadated. Adults and young students will have success and there is plenty to learn and practice. This class is appropriate for beginners or students that are ready to improve.
All materials are included. You are welcome to bring any of your favorite materials as well.
Puffer Fish Planter- Clay Class

In this all age class, we’ll dive into the world of pinch pots to create an adorable puffer fish-shape planter! Whether you’re a seasoned potter or a curious beginner, this project promises both fun and functionality. You’ll learn multiple techniques such as the pinch pot, sculpting, and glazing with underglazes.
Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class.
All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

Watercolor Class- Monthly

Join us in this monthly exploration of watercolor each 1st Saturday morning of the month. The 2 hour class will explore watercolor technique, integrate art and design principles all while having fun being creative and expanding your skillset. You can sign up every month or pop in when the timing is right. The classes will be suitable for beginners but we will continue to build each class for those that have experience or need challenges.
This will be a small class setting with opportunities to join a watercolor artist community and opportunities to share and get feedback throughout the month via a private social media group.
Seats will be limited. Register early.
Please feel free to bring a small snack for yourself or to share if you choose for a community feel.

Taking Colored Pencils to the Next Level - Eastern Bluebird on Drafting Film

Here's your chance to try something completely different! During this class Val will explain the unique aspects of drawing on drafting film. Drafting film is a 100% polyester surface, used traditionally by architects to do plans on, but has gained popularity as a drawing surface for artists. It is archival, translucent, non-yellowing, stable under different temperatures and loves colored pencils. Going step-by-step, you will recreate this 6x8" Eastern Bluebird drawing using colored pencils and leave the class understanding the many ways you can finish it to make your piece unique. Pencils will be provided but feel free to bring your favorites.
