Children/ Teens -Wheel Throwing Class -8y-15y

Wheel Throwing for KIDS ONLY!! Your student will get to know the fascinating and mesmerizing pottery wheel in this two hour long class. They will learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free to practice with multiple balls of clay. Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
This is a great introductory class as well as a quick fun kids wheel throwing clay class to participate in.
Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. Staff will hand trim and glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln
Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class.

Painting Camp #2 9y-14y

Cost: $175
4 days of painting!!! Students will learn painting techniques and tips as well as composition, color theory and how to make texture. We will use brushes and other tools as well as some mix media projects. Children will get to experiment with watercolors and acrylics. They will create multiple projects on paper and canvas such as paint pouring, and splatter. If painting is their thing, this is their camp!
*FYI-This is mostly a repeat of the #1 June Camp with older age range. Do not register for both
Dress to get messy.
Send a snack and a drink daily.
We go outside if weather allows. Please inform instructor if insect repellant is allowed.

This multi age class is a Summer Fun weekly class that will work on a different drawing or painting skill each week for 4 Wednesdays in June and 3 Wednesdays in August.
It is a great way to squeeze in some valuable and fun art lessons during that summer slow down. All materials are included.
You can pick and choose which Wednesdays to drop in according to your summer activities.
NO walk ins.

Fox Planter- 2 Day Clay Camp

Th. 8/7 – Fri. 8/8

In this 2 Day camp, students form a cute fox planter that can be used to grow a small succulent or plant. Students will get to paint glaze on it themselves!
Students will explore and learn fun techniques to create their special clay project(s). Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout camp.
Dressing for a messy class is recommended.
Please park in front of the main building and walk your student over to the clay studio for drop off.
Projects will need to dry and be fired in our kiln. Students will receive a slip with a date for when their project(s) will be ready for pick up.
Please send a snack and drink with your child each day.
You will also recieve an email prior to camp start with important information.

Slime and More!!!

This 2 day camp will be a slimey, gooey and sticky celebration!! We will make homemade slimes and a couple other fun mixtures to take home!

Sip & Spin- Wheel Throwing Fun Clay Class- August

Monthly every 2nd and 4th Friday night!
6:30pm-8:30pm
Enjoy your favorite adult beverage while you (wheel)throw down! Get to know the pottery wheel in this fun, adult only class. You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free with multiple balls of clay to practice until their heart’s content (and 8:30pm:). Event is BYOB and Snacks! Feel free to bring a small cooler to keep beverages cool.
Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

The possibilities with clay making are endless! Each day your child will explore different methods of making with clay in this four day camp. They'll learn how to sculpt polymer clay sea creatures on the first day. Then, they'll learn how to handbuild a ceramic octopus on the second day, and paint it on the third. Finally, they'll learn how to use the potter's wheel to make cups and bowls on the last day. This is the perfect camp for your child to explore the wide world of clay! Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
