Join us in this monthly exploration of watercolor each 1st Saturday morning of the month. The 2 hour class will explore watercolor technique, integrate art and design principles all while having fun being creative and expanding your skillset. You can sign up every month or pop in when the timing is right. The classes will be suitable for beginners but we will continue to build each class for those that have experience or need challenges.

This will be a small class setting with opportunities to join a watercolor artist community and opportunities to share and get feedback throughout the month via a private social media group. 

Seats will be limited. Register early.

Let's get started with Oil Painting! This class is a good fit for students just starting out with an interest in learning the basics of oil painting as well as for those that have experience in other mediums or wanting a refresher. 

Students will begin by learning about supplies/materials, how to tone a canvas, how to mix black-value scale. Then students will move on to painting a value object with tints, tones, and shades as well as mixing with the Zorn and/or primary color pallete. We will practice using a few painting approaches while painting a still life. The final less will be an Alla Prima painting to apply the skills and lessons learned.  

Basic supplies are provided- canvases, palette paper, extra paints, mediums, and paper towels.

Please bring personal artist smock and following supply list.

DIY Game Day! In this 2 Day camp, students create and a tic tac toe game board of their own design and paint glaze on it themselves!  

Students will explore and learn fun techniques to create their special clay project(s). Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout camp.

Dressing for a messy class is recommended.

Please park in front of the main building and walk your student over to the clay studio for drop off.

Projects will need to be dry and be fired in our kiln. Students will receive a slip with a date for when their project(s) will be ready for pick up.

Please send a snack and drink with your child each day.

*This is a duplicate of Painting Camp #1. Projects are same but stepped up for older students.

4 days of painting!!! Students will learn painting techniques and tips as well as composition, color theory and how to make texture. We will use brushes and other tools as well as some mix media projects. Children will get to experiment with watercolors and acrylics. They will create multiple projects on paper and canvas such as paint pouring, and splatter.  If painting is their thing, this is their camp!

Dress to get messy.

We go outside if weather allows. Please inform instructor if insect repellant is allowed.

Summer Weekly Art Class

Painting

Ages- 7y-13y

Wednesdays 11am-12pm

This multi age class is a Summer Fun weekly class that will work on a different drawing or painting skill each week for 4 Wednesdays in June and 1 Wednesday in July and 2 Wednesdays in August.

It is a great way to squeeze in some valuable and fun art lessons during that summer slow down. All materials are included. 

You can pick and choose which Wednesdays to drop in according to your summer activities.

NO walk ins.

Look at that face! In this 2 Day camp, students make a ceramic animal face bowl! They will create their own design and paint glaze on it themselves!

Campers will have access to so many art supplies to create something truly unique to them! We will design our projects with personal style tuning into our creativity flow. We will use paints, pencils, pens, glue, papers, photos and findings.
