Get to know the pottery wheel in this 4 week Wednesday course. Students will learn how to wedge, center clay on the wheel and pull walls to form awesome shapes on the wheel. Once pieces are formed and have dried some, students will learn how to successfully trim and adorn their pieces. Students will learn how to glaze their pieces on the last day of class.

This class is geared for beginners or people wanting more practice with their skill building before moving to intermediate. 

Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout every class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!

On the first day of class, students will purchase 12lb/25lb bag of clay to use during the course at $15/$30. Please bring exact change in cash or you can tap pay a qr code.  

We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.

Dressing for a messy class is recommended.

Join us in Artmosphere’s clay studio space! Located next to the main building. Park in front of the main building and walk over.

Disclaimer: Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, some pieces have the risk of cracking, breaking or being damaged during the drying and firing process even with the most care. This will not be a reason for refund. 

Cancellation Policy: No refunds if cancelled < 1 week notice or missed due to illness or otherwise. Refunds made prior to 1 week will be sent back to card processed on, minus processing fees.
