This 2 day camp will be an intensive but fun camp focused on learning basic drawing techniques. Students will primarily use pencils during this camp but explore other drawing tools as well. Students will go home on the final day with a new pencil set and sketch pad that is used in camp.
All materials included.
Dress to get messy daily.
Please send a small snack and drink daily.
We go outside if weather allows. Please inform instructor if insect repellant is allowed.
You will also recieve an email prior to camp start with important information.

Students will primarily use pencils during this camp but explore other drawing tools as well. Students will go home on the final day with a new pencil set and sketch pad that is used in camp.

Frog Jar -1 Day Thurs. Clay Camp

Ages 7y-14y
Hop on into the clay studio, we’re making frog jars! In this one day Thursday camp, your child will learn multiple handbuilding techniques as they form a fun frog shaped jar with a fitting lid. They’ll then paint their jar with underglazes of their liking.
Please send a snack and drink with your child.
Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class.
All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.
Dressing for a messy class is recommended.
Please park in front of the main building and walk over to the clay studio.

Clay Open Studio Membership Orientation-June

Only register for this orientation if you will be registering for a STUDIO MEMBERSHIP.
This is not a clay class.
Clay Studio Orientation Class will welcome you to the clay studio and provide valuable information about the safe practices and appropriate procedures of using the clay studio during classes and open studio membership hours.
This class is a requirement in order to be part of the clay studio membership. We look forward to your participation in the studio.
Gargoyles All Ages- 1 Day Sat. Camp

Ages 5y through Adult (Ages 7y & under must have adult accompany them)
Finally, a camp for the whole family! Gargoyles can typically be found on rooftops protecting mason walls from water erosion. In this one day Saturday camp, you'll use multiple handbuilding and sculpting techniques to form a miniature gargoyle statue from a lump of clay. You'll be able to proudly display your unique gargoyle anywhere!
Please bring or send a snack and drink.

Monthly Drawing - All Ages 12y to Adult- June

Always wanted to learn to draw? Interested in tips on improving your drawing skills or to learn new techniques? This is a no pressure skill building drawing class.
Students will be taught basic and interesting drawing techinques to bring your drawings to life! Students will learn a different techinque each class then have the opportunity to practice it in a small attainable drawing project during class. Topics such as shading, highlighting, value, texture, colored pencil blending, charcoal and more will be offered throughout the months.
Each Month will be a different technique and project! Sign up for all months or whenever your schedule permits.
This is an All Ages type class. So don't be intimadated. Adults and young students will have success and there is plenty to learn and practice. This class is appropriate for beginners or students that are ready to improve.
All materials are included. You are welcome to bring any of your favorite materials as well.

Taking Colored Pencils to the Next Level - Eastern Bluebird on Drafting Film

Ages: Adults & teens 16y+
Here's your chance to try something completely different! During this class Val will explain the unique aspects of drawing on drafting film. Drafting film is a 100% polyester surface, used traditionally by architects to do plans on, but has gained popularity as a drawing surface for artists. It is archival, translucent, non-yellowing, stable under different temperatures and loves colored pencils. Going step-by-step, you will recreate this 6x8" Eastern Bluebird drawing using colored pencils and leave the class understanding the many ways you can finish it to make your piece unique. Pencils will be provided but feel free to bring your favorites.
Wheel Throw Down! -Adults/Teens

Ages Adults and Teens 16y and up
It's time to throw down! Get to know the pottery wheel in this two hour long class.You'll learn how to wedge, center, and pull walls in a participation style demonstration. Students will then be set free to practice with multiple balls of clay.
Guidance will be provided throughout class. All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
Students may choose one piece to be finished by staff. They will hand trim and glaze your piece with one glaze of your choice. We use glazes that are considered food safe. Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.
Dressing for a messy class is recommended. Join us in Artmosphere’s new clay studio space! Located next to the main building.
